Ningaloo Nights Go Get 'em Women Book 4 edition by Tracy CooperPosey Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
Ningaloo Nights is an extremely hot and sexy quick read. I love reading about a man with an Australian accent and Mason didn’t disappoint.
Sherry is a New York City cop who has came to find the body of her sister. She knows Pepper isn’t alive but she still wants to have the closure. She was sent to the “a-hole” of the town because he was the only one who could do the job. I was a little upset that she took their opinions of him to heart but eventually she realized the whole town was wrong about.
Mason is a hot dominating man. He loves being in control but takes great care of Sherry. I loved his bad boyish dynamic. I think he did it to keep everyone at bay. He is a damaged hero and shows it. I liked how he allowed Sherry to heal him. It made him even hotter. Once they found Sherry’s sister he showed his remorse and you could tell he felt for her. Then he asked her to come back to him and I squealed (in delight, of course).
The sex was explosive and very inventive. I loved how he used the belt to tie to the ute (Australian for truck) frame. It was beyond sexy. The sex happened a bit too fast for me but it didn’t hurt the story at all. It also made me get past the fact Mason was kind of an ass.
This is a great read for anything looking to read something very spicy. The plot flowed and the characters were amazing.
Overall ★★★★☆
Tracy Cooper-Posey begins the book in the heat of Australia on the hottest month of the year. With the hottest man in Ningaloo, buck naked and baring it all.
This tawdry tail follows the actions of a New York Cop as she searches the outback for the body of her lost sister. But it is dangerous and she needs a guide. Only Mason Hayward can help. But what she isn't expecting is how handsome and sexy this rugged Aussie is. This is a good read if you want something quick and easy to get through with great sex, but it can be hard to suspend belief enough not to roll your eyes.
Originality ★★★★☆
I really like the idea of the story. I think it is smart, gutsy and empowered. The idea of a female cop coming to a distant country in order to find her lost or deceased sister is something that is fairly original. I like the premise and the idea of the story is very intriguing but the execution is lacking. Had the Author taken a little more time and drawn out the motivations of each character the premise could be more believable.
Character Development ★★☆☆☆
This is probably the biggest flaw in the entire piece. Both characters seem too forced, not developed enough. Sherry is a good example. She speaks in a neutral tone and then suddenly flips back and forth into a New York tone, but it isn't realistic and neither is her bravado. It seems forced. The way she talks about guns and a "tough" exterior isn't an accurate portrayal of a New York City cop. Certainly not one who walks a "beat" it is my biggest issue with the whole book and creates holes for me.
Mason knows too many things, too easily. It is a bit of a thin veil for the author pushing either character development or plot along. Potential is there for a really complex relationship but it is just too rushed.
Editing★★★★★
Very well done, I only noticed a few comma issues.
The Sex★★★★☆
Some things are a bit unrealistic (I won't divulge because I don't want to spoil) but the rest of it was really well written. The attention to detail is magnificent. I love the way she talks about body parts, the heat of the moment and the actual action. It drew me in and provided the desired effect. I highly regard her writing for these scenes and it makes this a worth while read, even with the flaws.
Sherry is a tough as nails New York city cop. Her instincts from law enforcement and her duty as a sister will not let her not investigate her sister's disappearance. Sherry is smart enough to know that Australia could eat her alive. She knows the trek ahead is dangerous so she seeks the best guide there is to take her on the journey of following her sisters footsteps.
Ningaloo has the best guide money can buy. The price is steep and most refuse to suffer his crass arrogance. Mason figured out how to keep the locals away a long time ago. Years later he still wields his ill temper as a weapon. Sherry's need to find answers takes her to his doorstep. Mason's way with words nearly sends her away. Through a negotiation steeped with sexual tension they come to an agreement to go on their journey to find some answers regarding her sister. Many miles later and some very hot nights they find so much more.
I want to go camping with a man who packs survival gear like Mason. This book is wildly mis-titled. It should called Hot Outback Nights with Mason and His Bag of Kinkery. It was a big bag of fun for Sherry. Mason had a assortment of goodies that'd make the employee of any toy store blush. He used them often and Sherry enjoyed every single minute of it. Considering the reasons she traveled to Australia in the first place I'm sure it was a much needed distraction.
